FirsTrust's Supports Muslims during Ramadan

FirsTrust Savings and Loans Ltd. A leading financial institution operating in Ghana, has presented some items to members of some Muslim communities in Accra Newtown, Ashaiman, Madina in Accra and Moro Market in Kumasi. Knowing the importance of the holy month of Ramadan; a month of fasting and prayers to Muslims; FirsTrust and its staff took it upon themselves to show their love and gratitude to their customers and the Islamic Community at large.

The branch led by the Head of Banking Operations Mr. Gilbert Zalu Gbangpuoh and the Accra New Town Branch Manager Fuseini Issah started by presenting some beverage items to their customers. They then joined the community for the Friday Jummah prayers. The branch then presented the community with some prayer mats for use in the community mosque. Presenting the mats to the community elders, Mr. Gbangpuoh stated that due to the close relationship that the company has with its customers, management thought it wise to show their love and support for the community as they pray and fast for the whole nation.

 

He stated that this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship between the Muslim community as a whole and the company. He informed the community that management are creating new product that will benefit any Muslim who plans on going on the pilgrimage to Mecca. This product he continued will allow potential pilgrims to save towards their journey to the holy land.

 

Bismi Hussrin Saib-Atta Vice-Chairman for the Islamic Centre for Community Affairs an Islamic Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) expressed their appreciation to the management and staff of FirsTrust Savings and Loans for this gesture. They asked for Allah's blessings on both management and staff and commended them for being the first corporate body operating in the community to show their love to whole community during the holy month.

 

They also asked for more of such gestures from the company and asked community members to save with the bank so that the community can continue to derive the benefits of the relationship.
